The Northwest is known for its long rainy seasons, but it also offers inconsistent and unpredictable snow fall during the winter months. Usually our region experiences several light dusting each year and often times our roads and parking lots are hazardous due to icy conditions, but occasionally we encounter significant snow fall and heavy ice buildup such as the historic snowstorm in 2008.
