Portland, OR, April 14, 2011:  A recognized leader in commercial landscape services, Crystal Greens Landscape, announced that they will be donating their services to the Providence Portland Medical Cancer Center as part of the nationwide “Day of Service” organized by the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) on Earth Day, April 22, 2011. The ongoing maintenance services will also be donated for the foreseeable future.

Providence Cancer Center, selected by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a Community Cancer Center Program (NCCCP), is part of a prestigious network of community-based cancer centers offering exceptional cancer care in Oregon communities while also serving more cancer patients than any other health system in Oregon. Patients and families benefit from some of the finest, most comprehensive cancer services in the world, including the best in diagnostic imaging, state-of-the-art treatments, nationally renowned-research, and compassionate counseling and support.

As part of the center’s adoption, Crystal Greens Landscape will provide landscape services and maintenance for the Cancer Center grounds for the foreseeable future. Monthly tasks will include maintenance of all common areas, beds, and pathways including the Romanaggi Children’s Garden.

The annual PLANET Day of Service is a grassroots event that allows lawn and landscape professionals to organize volunteer projects to beautify the grounds of schools, parks, playgrounds, senior centers, shelters, and anywhere that people enjoy green spaces. “The concept behind the PLANET Day of Service is to allow members to organize projects that have the greatest impact in their own community and that at the same time are part of a nationwide movement to educate the public about the importance of caring for our green spaces,” said PLANET President Bill Hildebolt, Ph.D., Landscape Industry Certified Manager & Technician.

CLACKAMAS, OR, January 9, 2012 – In an effort to further its green and sustainability practices, Crystal Greens Landscape, Inc. has accepted the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International’s 7-Point Challenge.  BOMA International recently presented its new plan and challenged members of the commercial real estate community to accept the plan as part of everyday business practice.

By accepting this challenge, Crystal Greens Landscape, Inc. will implement energy efficient and sustainable policies within our corporate facilities and work with building owners and managers to provide expertise and knowledge of our products and services to help them evaluate green strategies to facilitate market transformation. Benchmarks in the 7-Point Challenge include: continuously develop, enhance, and market new products and services to the BOMA community, giving members innovative and cost-effective solutions to reduce energy use in existing buildings; work towards a goal to decrease energy consumption by 30 percent by 2012 and implement sustainable strategies in corporate facilities. Finally, as part of the plan, BOMA is asking its associate members to position themselves as leaders and solution providers to building owners and managers.
